Thank you for your interest in hosting a Gracie Jiu Jitsu seminar. Gracie Jiu Jitsu was made famous by legendary "No Holds Barred" champion, Royce Gracie in 1993 after winning the first Ultimate Fighting Championship. The slight 6'1", 180 pound Royce Gracie defeated opponents that consistently outweighed him by more than 50 pounds. He went on to win 3 UFC titles and today is the only man in the history of no holds barred matches to successfully defeat four opponents in one night.
Over the past fiftenn years Royce has had the privilege of spreading the techniques perfected by his family all over the world. In this time he has selected a number of trusted proteges to assist him in bringing his family’s unique brand of fighting techniques to the world. Charged to carry out this mission in Pennsylvania is Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu brown belt, Jeff Reese. Jeff Reese is a multiple time state, national, and world jiu jitsu medalist and mixed martial arts fighter currently running one of Pennsylvania largest Gracie Jiu jitsu and MMA training facilities.
A seminar with Jeff is normally divided into two days consisting of eight hours of instruction; though extended seminars up to one week long are available. A matted area of 1000 square feet per twenty participants is required. A minimum of 20 participants is required. Some of the topics covered in a basic seminar include stand-up and ground techniques including takedowns, chokes, and locks. There are multiple variations of the basic seminar, which can be tailored to your specific needs. Jeff also offers a special course for law enforcement personnel, which includes suspect compliance and weapon retention techniques.
The cost for each seminar within Pennsylvania is as follows:
Participation per day is $40 or $75 for both days when paid in advance. The walk-in price in $50 per day.
Anyone may host a seminar. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due at the time of booking when confirmation is given and will be applied to the final seminar cost.
